Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking an Operations Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the daily operations of the production team by creating and managing detailed work schedules. This role focuses on efficient resource allocation, prioritization of tasks, and maintaining a smooth workflow across departments to ensure deadlines are met and operational goals are achieved. The Operations Scheduler works closely with production teams, quality control, sales, and management to ensure accurate schedules and to quickly respond to any scheduling challenges or disruptions.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update comprehensive production schedules based on customer demand, work orders, resource availability, and production capacity.
  • Assign labor, equipment, and materials effectively to maximize productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Identify and prioritize critical tasks and jobs to meet tight delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate disruptions such as equipment failures, material delays, or workforce issues to maintain workflow continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including production, sales, quality, and logistics to collect data, share schedule updates, and resolve conflicts.
  • Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements in scheduling practices.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production throughput, and resource utilization.
  • Use scheduling software to input, update, and manage production data, generate scheduling reports, and maintain accurate records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in production scheduling, operations coordination, or a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with software
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, supply chain principles, or process optimization
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Effective problem-solving abilities to address and resolve scheduling conflicts and disruptions
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders across departments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage complex, multi-variable production schedules
  • Proficient in using scheduling or ERP software, Excel, and other relevant digital tools
  • Understanding of project management principles, including timelines, resource planning, and dependencies
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
