Description ElitAire Service is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician with proven expertise in air-cooled chillers and advanced commercial systems. This full-time, union position offers stable, long-term work through Local 189 and is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in technical excellence, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. The Senior Technician will play a key role in performing complex service, repair, and commissioning work on a variety of commercial HVAC systems while upholding ElitAire's commitment to quality and safety. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Service, maintain, and repair air-cooled chillers, water cooled chillers, rooftop units, VRV/VRF systems, split systems, and pumps. Perform advanced diagnostics and root-cause troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Execute system start-ups, commissioning, and testing per manufacturer and customer specifications. Document all service activities accurately, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance reports. Collaborate closely with Service Management, Account Executives, and customers to schedule and complete work efficiently. Mentor and support junior technicians in proper procedures, safety, and technical skills. Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service requests when required. Maintain tools, company vehicle, and equipment in professional working condition. Follow all company safety policies and Local 189 standards. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Experience: 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience. Proven expertise with air-cooled chillers - Daikin experience preferred. Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and controls. EPA Universal Certification required. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Proficient in reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and system documentation. Skilled in the use of digital gauges, recovery systems, and diagnostic tools. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/yr. This is an hourly paid role. Direct placement. Guaranteed raise of $4/hr for the next 2 years. ElitAire pays fringe benefits on top of hourly pay. Company car, gas card, all tools provided.
