MBC operates 10 donor centers in Minnesota and western Wisconsin and provides blood products, accredited reference lab services, infectious disease testing, and IVF/Reproductive Medicine services to 41 area hospitals. Responsibilities

Accepting internal appllications from current employees ONLY.

Summary:

Assists in assuring adequate component inventory for internal and external customer needs. Assists in assuring compliance with federal regulations and industry standards. Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities:

Performing and overseeing daily Hospital Service tasks

    Hospital Orders
  • Consigning
  • Shipping
  • Packing
  • Reconciliation
  • Delivering hospital transfusion services blood component orders
  • Performing whole blood pick-ups from Collections Van/Mobile/Fixed sites
  • Performing sample pick-ups for Reference Lab, Donor Testing, Nat Lab.

Other Lead tasks

  • Departmental Trainer
  • Annual SOP review
  • Salvage shipments
  • Updating training course plans
  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Salavage contracts
  • Maintain working knowledge of Temperature Monitoring System

The hourly rate for this position between $23.30 - $26.30

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent

Experience:

  • Intermediate/Basic Microsoft computer skills required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Health care, Technical or Regulated environment (cGMP environment)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize duties and occasionally work irregular hours. Ability to provide immediate Supervision to staff.

  • Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
