Position Summary:

The Graduate Hourly position provides support to the Complex Family Planning section in managing data for the RHAI grant. The role involves data analysis in the pursuit of quality improvement. Duties and responsibilities include data collection, management, cleaning, and validation, in order to upgrade the quality improvement & reporting database.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Complex Family Planning section in collecting, organizing, and managing data related to the RHAI grant and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Clean, validate, and prepare datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Support the development and maintenance of data tracking systems and databases used for program evaluation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with faculty, research staff, and administrative personnel to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to institutional data security and privacy policies.
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the goals of the RHAI grant and the Complex Family Planning section.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be in a graduate program at UIC. Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, psychology, pharmaceutical sciences, socials sciences, computer science, or a related field desired.
  • Experience managing quantitative datasets for research or related purposes
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate multiple activities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Proficient with basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficient with REDCap
