Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor - Food & Nutrition.

In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary: Responsible for providing first line supervision.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and schedules service employees to assigned shifts.
  • Monitors and maintains accurate portion control. Follows through on marking plans as directed by Assistant Director.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assures that management policies and procedures to control cost expenditures in all areas are met.
  • When applicable, ensures that cash control standards are followed and met according to set policy and procedures.
  • Controls food service inventory, assuring stock rotation, proper storage and handling of products, safeguards food supply.
  • Completes quality assurance activities in accordance with NYULH and food service departmental policies and procedures.
  • Conducts employee training and development programs consistent with departmental operating policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a sanitary and safe operation in accordance with HACCP, federal, state and local health regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in hotel and restaurant management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience at a managerial level, in either institutional or commercial food service.
National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for ServSafe Protection Certification (obtained within 6 months of hire).

Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. Degree

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $72,080.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
