The Sr Manager - Physical Security (Insider Threat Program) is a member of the Corporate Security department which is responsible for physical security. Working with a cross-functional team, the position will implement and refine the organization's insider threat program which includes threat evaluations, travel security, background investigations and threat intelligence functions. Development and delivery of insider threat training and upkeep of policies and procedures are also required.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manages and implements Verisign's insider threat program operations, including oversight, intelligence support and management of day-to-day operations
  • Updates policies and procedures for the insider threat program
  • Creates and delivers training to support the insider threat program
  • Conducts risk assessments through open-source and internal data set analysis
  • Manage vendor relationships and budget
  • Executes and enhances the travel security and safety program
  • Executes and adjudicates all background investigations. Enhances the program, to include policy updates, as needed
  • Serves as a collaborative member of the broader physical security team
  • Manages and mentors staff


Qualifications:



  • 8 + years of related experience in physical security and insider threat
  • 2 years' experience directly managing and mentoring others
  • Relationship-management experience and consulting skills, with the ability to effectively engage across various levels of peer groups, stakeholders and leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate confidential topics
  • Proven track record of execution through program/project management
  • 4-year Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience


This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $149,300 - $201,900.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
