Annual Salary: $140,000 - $170,000

Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Project Manager to lead the digital transformation of our manufacturing operations from traditional paper-based processes to a fully integrated paperless Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project management, software evaluation, and implementation within job shop manufacturing environments. You will be responsible for end-to-end project execution - from needs assessment and vendor selection to full deployment and team adoption.

This role requires not only strong technical and organizational skills but also exceptional communication and emotional intelligence to lead change management efforts and gain cross-functional buy-in.

The project Manager will:

  • Lead the MES Transformation Project
  • Oversee the end-to-end transition from paper-based to paperless manufacturing systems.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Software Sourcing and Evaluation
  • Conduct needs assessments across departments (production, quality, logistics, etc.).
  • Research, shortlist, and evaluate MES and related digital solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships, RFPs, and demo processes.
  • Lead cost-benefit analysis and make software recommendations to leadership.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, IT, quality, engineering and leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and feedback loops to ensure user adoption.
  • Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Implementation & Integration
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration with existing ERP and shop-floor systems.
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Post-Implementation Support
  • Define KPIs and success metrics; ensure data integrity and user satisfaction post-launch.
  • Iterate and improve system processes based on feedback and performance analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in leading MES or digital transformation projects in a factory setting.
  • Proven experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing enterprise or manufacturing software solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflows, and shop-floor operations.
  • Knowledgeable in industry available MES (and ERP) systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills - capable of guiding teams through change with empathy and clarity.
  • Experience with data conversion.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
