SUMMARY The Manufacturing Engineer will identify operational and process improvement opportunities; manage all phases of capital projects from conception to completion; work with operations and departments across the organization to identify and support continuous improvement projects using data analysis and input from Associates; and identify and develop automation and technological processes and systems to support operations. This is a hands-on position. Projects will be implemented using solid project management processes to meet schedule, cost, and customer satisfaction deliverables. Engineering/reengineering activities will be characterized by accuracy, durability, efficiency and regulatory compliance. (FDA, OSHA, regulatory requirements related to the nutraceutical industry, etc.). Propose, design, implement, and validate process improvements throughout the facility. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Direct - None Indirect - Project Team Members EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or other related engineering discipline; and three to five years related experience is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
LANGUAGE SKILLS The ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical prints, communicate ideas, concepts and plans to individuals at all levels of the organizations is a must. Will have the ability to communicate clearly, precisely and comfortably in meetings, training sessions, small groups, and in one-on-one discussions to present concepts, ideas, and share knowledge. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
