Per Mar Security Services is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee and lead our payroll team. The Payroll Supervisor oversees the Payroll Specialists, ensuring all processes are executed properly and consistently in a timely manner. This position will be responsible for filing and payment of the company's payroll taxes including 941's, 940's, and W-2's, as well as month-end and year-end reports in regards to the company's financial requirements. This is a salary/exempt role- Salary range is $70-$80k. Why Per Mar Security?

In this role, you will:
- Manage and train the payroll staff, and oversee daily operations of the payroll department.
- File and pay the company's payroll taxes including 941's, 940's, and W-2's, as well as month-end and year-end reports in regards to the company's financial requirements.
- Identify quality control measures, process improvement initiatives and define consistent standards for new processes via annual training and conferences.
- Execute the payroll timekeeping system to all non-exempt employees throughout the company.
- Review and Process branch location payroll.
- Define standards and reusable approaches within the payroll operational framework.
- Assist the Controller with creating annual team objectives.
- Facilitate weekly meetings/calls with the payroll department and branches.
- Prepare financial accounting reports and month end procedures.
- Facilitate hours and monthly billing reports.
- Prepare and review corresponding billing invoices for customers.
- Prepare and execute standard guard contracts and review/document rate increases.
What you'll need:
- Strong problem solving skills and be self-driven
- Very proficient skills in Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Exceptional organizational, written, and communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred; however equivalent experience and education combined will be considered
- Exposure to 2-3 years of payroll tax preparation including 940's, 941's, and W-2's
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Advanced knowledge of payroll law preferred, including knowledge of multi-state procedures
