The Buyer/Planner will plan, routinely schedule and release purchase and production orders, as well as coordinating and monitoring the flow of products through the complete manufacturing cycle. Works on a wide variety of complex planning activities where material requirements are new or variable. Interfaces with Production, Marketing, Customer Service, Purchasing, Suppliers, and Manufacturing Engineering to solve customer or production issues. Responsibilities will include managing the global build plans and review for accuracy and populated with the manufacturing commitment each month. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all workorders are opened and subsequently closed on a monthly basis in accordance with policy and support of Financial, Production, and Inventory obligations.

What will you be doing?

  • Procures raw material good items for OKC manufacturing

  • Maintains status of raw goods shortages that affect or will affect supply plan, communicate early and often to stakeholders

  • Review and maintain master data accuracy require to generate an optimal purchase plan

  • Monitors and expedites purchase order to achieve optimum delivery of all items. Purchase order delivery dates maintained regularly

  • Maintains a mutually satisfying relationship with current and prospective supplies.

  • Meet with suppliers weekly/monthly to align their manufacturing schedules to meet our needs.

  • Ensures that all purchase agreements and negotiations are in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures.

  • Maintains contact with the marketing, product management, forecasting, legal, regulatory affairs, quality, supplier quality, manufacturing teams, and accounts payable.

  • Coordinates the timely resolution of rejected purchased items/materials

  • Prepares reports such as vendor performance, past due order, order/lines processed

  • Performs monthly supply review for relevant vendors

What will you need to be successful?

  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering or other related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • APIC/Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma desired.

  • Minimum 2 years in Supply Chain purchasing.

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain.

  • Ensure purchasing functions are performed with quality management systems and corporate policies.

  • Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and MS software e.g. Excel, Access Power-point and PowerBI
