Job Description




As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol Corrections in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter unwanted activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any irregularities or security-related concerns observed during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions within the government facility.
  • Work closely with site personnel and/or visitors to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Follow all protocols related to the carrying and use of firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
