Description and Requirements

About Our Team

Lenovo's AI Ecosystem design team is a centralized AI organization shaping a unified experience that connects devices, services, and users through intelligent design. We're a diverse, fast-moving team driven by curiosity and collaboration. Our mission is to create human-centered AI experiences that feel natural, personal, and connected.

As a UX Writer, you'll define the voice of Lenovo's AI ecosystem. You'll craft the words that guide, inform, and inspire users. Everything from microcopy in software interfaces to strategic narratives for product launches and early-stage AI concepts. You'll collaborate closely with designers, researchers, brand teams, and product managers to make complex AI capabilities feel simple and transparent.

What You'll Do

  • Write clear, concise, and human-centered copy across AI-powered software experiences, ensuring consistency and accessibility across devices and platforms.

  • Develop and maintain tone and voice guidelines for Lenovo's AI ecosystem, ensuring linguistic cohesion across surfaces and contexts.

  • Collaborate with UX and UI designers to craft interface text, system prompts, error messages, and onboarding flows that enhance usability and trust.

  • Partner with product marketing and brand teams to extend the ecosystem's story into campaigns, product naming, and high-level messaging.

  • Contribute to early research by framing concepts, articulating product value, and testing language for clarity and emotional resonance.

  • Support AI-specific initiatives (e.g., conversational UX, assistants, generative tools) with thoughtful, ethical, and transparent language strategies.

  • Champion user advocacy in every word, ensuring copy aligns with accessibility and inclusivity standards.

  • Present writing rationales, insights, and strategic recommendations to design and leadership teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, Linguistics, or related field.

  • 7+ years of UX writing or content design experience, ideally within tech or AI-driven products.

  • Experience collaborating in agile or pod-based environments with cross-functional teams.

  • Portfolio demonstrating UX writing excellence, clarity of thinking, and examples of shaping digital experiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, design systems, and the role of language in interaction design.

  • Proven ability to scale writing across surfaces. Everything from microcopy to long-form narratives and conceptual messaging.

  • Familiarity with conversational design, voice interfaces, or AI/ML concepts is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

The base salary range budgeted for this position is $125,000 - $160,000. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
