Cost Accountant Primarily focused on inventory, this position will help ensure that the relevant corporate policy and internal controls / cost accounting roadmap is administered within the site, and will work with the site finance representative over inventory. Results, analysis, and actions will be communicated back to a diverse and multi-functional management team. This position will also assist in daily/weekly reporting activities, some month-end close functions, as well as forecasting/budgeting as needed. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following actions:
Education & Experience: Minimum 2 years work experience in cost accounting/business analysis. Past experience in manufacturing environment required. Other Requirements: *Knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system *Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail *Proven skills in problem analysis and problem resolution *Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team *High level of analytical competency and math skills demonstrated through professional accomplishments; demonstrated ability to effectively organize and interpret data. *Must be proficient with excel, specifically: spread sheet management, pivot tables and V look up capabilities. **Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with shop floor supervision and support functions. * Ability to handle multiple projects and daily activities. *Must be organized, resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis and month-end close responsibilities a plus
