Title:Painter Division: Finance and Administration Department: Facility Operations and Planning FLSA Status:Non-Exempt Salary Range:Grade 9: $18.98/hour EEO Job Group:6 E7 Position Summary The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications forMaintenance Mechanic - Painter. Perform wide range of maintenance work, with a concentration in painting and drywall, in a multi-building complex under direct supervision of the Lead Maintenance Mechanic. Will plan, coordinate, and carry out construction, maintenance, painting and equipment installations according to applicable codes and standards. Duties/Responsibilities
Required Knowledge and Skills
Preferred Knowledge and Skills On-the-job experience in the painting and carpentry trades preferred. Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional irregular hours or overtime may be required to complete work orders. This position will rotate through as the after-hours on-call rotation to perform emergency repairs for Campus and Housing as needed. Must be available when scheduled for on-call duties. This position is considered essential. When the University closes due to inclement weather or another emergency, this position is required to report to work to perform snow and/or ice removal or other clean-up work following severe weather or other emergencies. Travel within University and occasional travel to offsite University locations using a University vehicle is required.
