Overview

The Finance Director will provide finance and analytical support and business partnership to site leadership and other senior and executive leadership, and play a key leadership role at CPI's future success. This position will lead a team of multiple individuals and be responsible for the preparation and evaluation of budgets, forecasts, weekly revenue and profit estimates and other financial operating reports, business cases and ad-hoc analysis and should have a strong desire and ability to gather, data mine and analyze information for multiple locations. The individual will also work jointly and closely with the business unit leader and the leader's directs to help develop the strategic plan (including related financial consequences) and direction for the business as well as assist in ensuring the successful execution of the plan. This individual is highly visible within the organization and will create meaningful and concise presentations and recommendations for site leadership, business, executive management and the Company's board of directors as well as being capable to presenting to each of these groups.



Responsibilities

    Actively involved to support the daily operations of the plants within the business unit and long-range plans. Partner with business unit, senior, and plant leadership to optimize operations, improve production efficiency, increase capacity and exceed customers' expectations.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and financial advice to executive and senior leadership on existing business and future strategy as well as to the Company's board of directors.
  • Partner closely with procurement, supply chain and inventory management to ensure inventory levels are appropriate to support the business and balances are accurate and based on comprehensive counts and obsolescence analysis.
  • Provide business decision support through completion of pricing and profitability analysis of customers, service and product offerings, preparation of key management reports, metrics and business cases and offer recommendations based on the analysis.
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts financial results on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Support accounting and internal and external audit to meet monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements and audits.
  • Collaborate with accounting to ensure critical operational accounts (inventory, WIP and fixed assets) are accurate, including performing or supervising the performance of reconciliations of these accounts.
  • Identify revenue opportunities, efficiencies and expense savings using analytics, and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, including cost savings and efficiency initiatives, and cooperate and share best practices with other teams at the facility and across the organization.
  • Responsible for compliance with company policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley internal controls requirements. Serve as owner for critical controls and processes, confirming controls are executed and documented accurately.
  • Expert on all data generated and contained within the financial, operational and other relevant systems.
  • Complete the preparation of accurate, clear and concise monthly and quarterly business reviews and other presentations for local and executive management as well as the Company's board of directors.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to optimize the "customer experience" for both internal and external customers.
  • Work closely with the Sales Teams to grow the business profitably while maintaining focus on mitigation of risk (credit and contract terms). Track sales opportunity pipeline with a particular focus on large projects

Pay range depending on experience: $149,300 - $186,600 + bonus potential



Qualifications

  • 10+ years of finance and operations experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field with equivalent work experience
  • Financial planning and analysis experience
  • Ability to work in a high intensity, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, team building and business partnering skills; ability to hire, supervise, mentor and train employees.
  • Displays strong business acumen and ability to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Strong communicator with ability to succinctly articulate business and accounting issues to finance and non-finance audiences alike.
  • Track record in identifying and delivering process improvements that either enhance the control environment and/or drive efficiencies for the business.
  • Experience with a large and diverse customer base preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of leveraging core financial systems (ERP, HFM, BI, Excel, etc.) and other analytical tools to support meaningful analysis and recommendation.
  • Proficient communication skills including reading, writing and speaking in English
