Acara Solutions is seeking a Plant Manager for our client in Pennsauken, NJ!

We are seeking qualified candidates with:

Here's what you'll do:

  • Ensure the readiness and performance of operating equipment and services in support of operation teams.
  • Direct and manage the team with company values.
  • Manage the performance of team members and hold them accountable.
  • Maintaining a safe and enjoyable workplace for all production employees via such measures as enforcement of proper PPE policy, optimal product flow, up to date certifications for equipment operators, maintenance of organized workstations, inventory of proper tools, etc..
  • Ensures that a plant wide deployment of quality function is consistent with Company's quality policy.
  • Provides support, guidance and oversees the company's talent requirements.
  • Ownership of the Extrusion, Anodizing and Fabrication Processes from material staging, through racking and anodizing, to packaging and safe/organized storage of finished product and relentlessly pursuing improvement of those process steps to optimize our capacity.
  • Responsibility for the resolution of quality issues, ensuring they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Responsibility for adherence to daily production schedules and effectively communicating any reasons why orders are not completed on time.
  • Creation and execution of an ongoing preventative maintenance program for all key pieces of equipment in our plant.
  • Maintaining compliance (at minimum) with municipal bylaws with respect to our waste water system and the discharge of industrial by-product, but striving for the highest practical level of environmental responsibility.
  • Training, coaching, developing, collaborating with, engaging, and mentoring your team.
  • Establishment of goals for yourself and your team, and conducting objective performance evaluations based on the achievement of those goals.
  • Organizing regular meetings to keep your team informed on progress towards goals, current issues/gaps, and developing plans for course correction.
  • Creation and maintenance of a visual management board that tracks the relevant KPI for your team (KPI determined and defined by you), communicates gaps when/where they occur, and implement the corrective action plan.
  • Maintaining and growing relationships with key suppliers, looking for ways to create strategic alliances wherever possible.
  • Maintaining proper inventory of consumable items (chemical, cardboard, clamps, racks, etc.).
  • Creation and/or maintenance of housekeeping standards.

Position Type: Direct Placement

Salary: Up to $180K/yr. **Depending on experience

Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including profit sharing!

Schedule: M-F 1st shift **100% Onsite

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration, or facility management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in manufacturing operations.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and leadership abilities managing large and multiple projects.
  • Proven skills in complex problem solving, process control planning, manufacturing tooling, machine set-up, standard work instructions and continuous improvement including Lean, Six Sigma and 5S.
  • Possess humility, passion for progress, and curiosity.
  • Strong motivational, leadership, and effective team building skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
  • Proven track record of successfully transforming operational work.
  • High energy level and the ability to work independently while motivating workforce to excellence.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
  • Be a role model for the company's Core Values and hold direct reports accountable for operating within them day in and day out.

  • Must have a Valid Passport for travel to Canada if needed.
