Bariatric Surgeon (Per Diem)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Bariatric Surgeon to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island.The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details

• Performs the most difficult and highly specialized professional surgical work in the discipline of bariatric and general surgery.
• Provides direct patient care.
• Supervises, teaches, and guides house staff, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical students within the Bariatric Surgical Team.

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery.
• Completion of a Bariatric Surgery fellowship.
• Current and unrestricted NYC Medical License.
• DEA,ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

Per Diem Rate:$260.42 per day (1.5 units for weekend and holiday days)*
