Key Responsibilities

The rehabilitation clinical nurse is a key member of the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered rehabilitation nursing services to individuals with a disability and/or chronic illness toattainand maintain maximum function. The rehabilitation clinical nurseassistspatients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for client's and their family's development.The rehabilitation clinical nurse designs and implements treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care and promotes physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health.Rehabilitation Nurses perform in roles as Teachers, Caregivers, Collaborators and Client Advocates. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, you will add "Life to Years" for the patients you will serve.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursingrequired. If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level,requiredto enroll in a BSN program within12months of hire date and completion within4years of employment.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year RN experiencerequired.

• Certification/Registration/Licensure:Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Washington, D.C. and BLS isrequired.
