Director of Engineering - Health

Publicis Sapient is looking for a Director of Technology to lead teams of technologists delivering measurable outcomes for enterprise healthcare clients. You will help shape and deliver modern cloud, data, and AI solutions-translating business needs into scalable architectures and high-quality execution, so our clients can move faster, operate smarter, and innovate with confidence.

Sitting at the intersection of healthcare transformation, advanced AI, and consulting-led delivery, you'll help define how agentic and AI-driven systems responsibly move from proof-of-concept to production across highly regulated environments.

About You

You're a hands-on technology leader who turns strategy into shipped outcomes. You're comfortable in the details (code, architecture, delivery) and at the executive level (technical vision, tradeoffs, influence). You bring strong consulting instincts, deep engineering judgment, and the presence to lead in high-stakes moments.

You understand agentic AI and how to apply it responsibly to create scalable client impact. You move fast, communicate clearly, and take ownership by driving outcomes, raising the bar, and helping teams do the best work of their careers.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience & Differentiators:

• Core: 12+ years in software engineering, architecture, or technical delivery, including senior leadership on large, client-facing programs.
• Core: Experience leading engineering teams (including distributed/multi-geo) and owning delivery governance across multi-workstream programs (quality, risk, security).
• Core: Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
• Core: Deep experience with modern cloud and data architectures (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP; APIs, eventing, data platforms) and secure-by-design engineering.
• Core: Ability to dive deep when needed by reviewing designs and critical code, prototype high-risk components, and unblock teams during complex delivery moments.
• Core: Demonstrated people leadership: hiring, mentoring, coaching, and building inclusive, high-accountability engineering cultures.
• AI: Hands-on experience designing, deploying, or operating AI solutions in production including LLM-powered and/or agent-based systems (tool use, orchestration, observability, and human-in-the-loop models).
• AI: Strong grounding in responsible AI practices (governance, evaluation, monitoring, auditability, and risk management), ideally in regulated environments.
• Preferred: Healthcare domain experience, including interoperability and compliance (HIPAA/PHI; HL7/FHIR ecosystems or adjacent healthcare regulatory frameworks).
• Preferred: Cloud and/or ML/analytics certifications; comfort traveling as needed to support senior client relationships and delivery milestones.

Level: Director/Senior Director

Base Salary Range: $230,000 - $290,000 + Bonus
