Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is$93,000.00 to$154,900.00.

Position Details

Core to Grainger's value is our ability to get our customers what they need, when they need it, delivering 30M+ shipments to our 4.5M customers from an extensive network of 250+ distribution centers and branches. The Operations Support team drives the success of this fulfillment network by providing clear visibility into operational health, identifying and driving performance improvements to ensure Grainger delivers the best service to our customers at the lowest cost. The Manager of Ops Enablement & Optimization will lead projects to drive improvement to the operational health of our fulfillment network. Scope of work will include leading and monitoring cross-functional initiatives, regular review of key performance indicators, identifying and driving improvement opportunities, and seamless business partner collaboration to minimize distraction for field team members while maximizing performance. This role will support initiatives that may have significant impact to our fulfillment operations, and as such will have high visibility and exposure to executive levels.

You Will

  • Drives change initiatives of various sizes and scopes to improve the operational health and performance of the fulfillment network.

  • Supports assigned business partner relationships, providing a conduit to engage with branches and DCs, partnering seamlessly to simplify engagement while minimizing distraction for the network.

  • Supports project prioritization process as needed, agilely shifting focus as needed based on project priority and value.

  • Regularly reviews performance measures to understand current health of our network, supporting root cause investigations as needed to generate solutions that eliminate variation, inefficiency and waste.

  • Leverages continuous improvement methodologies to identify and solve problems.

  • Identifies and drives improvement efforts, effectively managing projects to ensure efficient collaboration, engaging the right resources at the right times throughout the project lifecycle, from intake through deployment and stabilization.

  • Recognizes when to develop subject matter expertise versus leverage strategic partnerships.

  • Leads through change management, leveraging training and coaching as needed to ensure adoption and results.

  • Provides an end-to-end perspective, serving as the voice of the ops network to ensure all solutions are practical, sustainable, and aligned with Ops objectives and priorities.

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in supply chain, business or engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Process Improvement, Operations, Change Management, Business Transformation or similar.

  • Experience working on process improvement and change management initiatives with a track record of successful outcomes.

  • Strong business acumen with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated competency anticipating the impacts of tactical change on the end-to-end business and operations.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, influencing without direct authority.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills; the ability to build presentations in PowerPoint and to present to various levels and groups.

  • Industrial Distribution or Business-to-Business experience preferred.

  • High levels of organization and strong attention to detail.
