The State Highway Administration's (SHA) Office of Real Estate (Baltimore City) is currently recruiting for a Real Property Supervisor position. This position is open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications listed below. The resulting list of eligible candidates will be used to fill this vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification.


Nature of Work
: This position will supervise and coordinate the activities of professional acquisition teams and support personnel in headquarters and at an active district office. The Real Property Supervisor will assist the Real Property Manager in the formalization of policies and procedures used in administration and management. This position will assume the duties of the Real Property Manager in his/her absence.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Seven (7) years of experience providing acquisition, relocation assistance, or property/asset management services, including one (1) year as a project manager, or lead worker or one (1) year of appraisal review experience.

Notes:
1. Additional experience in professional or technical real estate work may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required bachelor's degree for up to four years.

2. U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as defined under the minimum qualifications may be substituted for the required education and experience on a year-for-year basis.


Licenses & Certifications

Candidate must possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the state of Maryland.

Special Requirements:

  1. Employees may be subject to state-wide assignment, which may occasionally require overnight travel.
  2. Employees must be willing and available for duty at such hours, day or night, as may be required in order to respond to agency operations.
  3. Employee is required to maintain a reliable communication link (telephone or pager) for the purpose of emergency call back requirements.
