Phoenix Defense is seeking applicants for Maintenance Manager position at Orlando, FL. This position is in support of the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects

* Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives

* Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and facilitates problem solving with project managers and clients

* Oversees performance of work and ensures tasks are performed to standard

* Responsible for ensuing program meets commitments including quality, schedule and performance

* Participates in customer meetings, to include but not limited to program status reviews and opportunity assessments and aligns them with business and program goals and obligations

* Identified problems in sufficient time for corrective actions to be taken and ensures contractual commitments are fulfilled

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* B.A./B.S. plus three years of experience, eight or more years' program management experience in lieu of degree

* Experience in Government contracts

* Detail oriented, with excellent organizational and task management skills

* Experience with Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS).

* Able to communicate concisely and effectively verbally and in email/written communication

PREFERRED SKILLS:

* Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of training device maintenance

* Knowledge of general technical fields such as engineering, contracts administration, or program management

This position is primarily warehouse-based with duties for maintenance and administration. Shift work and irregular hours may be required to support training schedules. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee must be able to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
