When you join WM you become part of a company that is: - 100% employee-owned with 40+ years of industry history We have an Internship opportunity in Raleigh, NC. This internship is geared towards candidates interested in controls and automation engineering. Projects will include PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, instrumentation, factory automation, check out support and start-up assistance. About the Internship You will have the opportunity to work on real-life projects. You'll support large scale client projects and have individual ownership of small scale business unit projects. In addition to your hiring manager, you'll also mentor under a senior engineer. Daily office attendance is expected. At the end of your internship you will have the opportunity to make a 5 to 10 minute presentation about the project/s you worked on to Wunderlich-Malec's engineering leadership team. Term is mid-May to end of August. Major Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement control system (logic software and hardware) to meet machine and integrated system requirements.
Experience
Education Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering majors. An interest/minor in Computer Science is preferred but not required. Physical Demands of Position Seeing, color perception, hearing and clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, lifting, climbing, and ability to mount and dismount equipment, pushing, and pulling. Working Environment Standard office environment, On-site office environment, and diverse industrial environments.
