Machinist II

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a second shift (2:30pm -11:00pm) Machinist II based in Reamstown, PA. This role is responsible for operation of various metal cutting saws, drill presses and punching machines to assist in the production of operations, from staging and collecting materials through the cutting of the materials.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE:$20 - $25(including $1 an hour shift differential) plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Accurately locate materials in the warehouse and cut them to required lengths as noted on blueprints or other technical drawings
• Inspect and prepare all material prior to and following the sawing of material for quality and accuracy
• Remove small quantities of metal with hand tools to produce a close fit between parts
• Perform minor tool changes and minor machine set ups

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High School diploma and/or GED Certification
• 2+ years machining experience
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and other technical drawings
• Mathematical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and the ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch
• Demonstrated mechanical abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
