Machinist I

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Second Shift (1:30pm-9:00pm) Machinist I based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist I will fabricate, repair, and assemble metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $18.56/hr. - $23.00/hr. plus $1.00/hr. shift differential. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Follow operation instructions; operate machine according to standard operating procedures
• Operate machine safely & communicate any problems which arise to the supervisor/lead
• Monitor, maintain, weigh, and safely add chemicals as required
• Meet production standards as set by department goals
• Perform duties and responsibilities as described in the quality system
• Monitor the quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluency in both verbal and written English

WHAT WE PREFER

• Previous manufacturing experience
• SAP or Enterprise system knowledge
• Basic understanding of shop math & blueprint reading/comprehension (GDT preferred)
• Computer proficiency
• Lean skills
