Operations Manager


Position Summary


The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for leading warehouse management teams to deliver exceptional service levels, ensure operational efficiency, and support Branch and Company goals. This role oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, including staffing, safety, compliance, and facility management, while setting a high standard of professional and ethical leadership.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead, recruit, train, and develop warehouse personnel to ensure operational objectives are achieved and sustained.
  • Direct and coordinate product receiving, storage, selection, and loading activities across all areas of the Branch.
  • Implement and enforce policies and programs that ensure compliance with OSHA, local safety laws, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage budgetary goals and financial performance to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for facilities, warehouse equipment, and grounds.
  • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and accountability for warehouse personnel.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating professional, ethical, and safety-first management practices.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field OR equivalent warehouse management experience.
  • Food industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, local/state/federal safety regulations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to quickly learn and utilize Ben E. Keith systems.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and achieving financial targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and develop personnel while fostering a collaborative culture.
  • High attention to detail and capability to manage complex operational processes.



Physical Requirements



  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards, including meeting productivity goals.
  • Consistent, punctual attendance required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
