DESCRIPTION

Under supervision of the Program Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for providing manualized evidence-based treatment protocols for individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy in the UC San Diego Health Eating Disorder Center in the Department of Psychiatry. Primary job responsibilities include: 1. clinical evaluation and treatment; 2. care coordination and management; 3. supervision and training; 4. administrative duties; and 5. Ethics: decisions & actions on behalf of patients. Therapists will be the primary therapist and case manager for patients with presentations of varying complexity in a high acuity partial hospital and intensive outpatient setting for eating disorders and co-morbid diagnoses. Case management may include coordination of care with other providers, obtaining ongoing authorization of treatment, and providing weekly therapy sessions. Therapists will conduct ongoing assessment to inform their diagnosis and treatment plan. Attend weekly trainings, workshops, etc. and report on patient progress in weekly treatment team meetings. Active involvement in program evaluation and the identification of new service needs, alongside management of the patient milieu and collaboration with team members, is expected. Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays based on operational requirements is essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree or higher in related area or equivalent experience.

  • Licensed in behavioral health discipline.

  • Three (3) or more years of relevant experience.

  • Strong skills in providing individual and group behavioral therapy, behavioral analysis and/ or educational interventions.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays based on operational requirements is essential.
