The Project Management Specialist will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with strict safety, environmental, quality, and financial standards. Establish a safe, healthy work environment for employees and contractors by driving accountability for safety performance and by regularly reviewing and communicating policies, practices, expectations and positive reporting. Minimize the environmental impact of project activities with accountability for environmental compliance and practices as well as role modeling personal environmental responsibility. Actively participate in development and management of the scope of work, schedule, costs and risks of assigned major projects to ensure the project plan can be successfully executed Understand and effectively use established project management systems and project management practices to achieve positive scope, schedule, quality and cost results and lead and mitigate risks on each project Actively monitor and report on the performance of assigned major project, using key performance indicators, and taking the vital actions to correct adverse situations or trends.
Who You Are:
University degree in applicable field, or related engineering, construction, operational or project management training and experience. 10+ years of progressively responsible related experience in the pipeline industry, project management and 5 years in CO2 pipeline and/or sequestration. Solid understanding of project management methods and techniques, PMP certification or equivalent is a plus. Strong understanding of pipeline hydraulics, thermodynamics of CO2, and fracture control methods. Familiarity with CO2 material compatibility (carbon steel, elastomers, seals, coatings). Knowledge of federal and state regulatory frameworks for CO2 pipelines, including safety and environmental standards. Passion for upholding Enbridge's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion and High Performance along with our ways of working. Able to travel domestically and internationally. Hold a valid driver's license.
Preferred:
University degree in engineering with project management experience Shown leadership and management capability, including organizational and planning skills. Calm, quick decision making under driven conditions and making disciplined decisions in the face of uncertainty
Physical Requirements: Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mental Requirements: Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, prioritize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone. Working conditions:
Predominantly an office environment. Will require frequent travel to the project location.
