PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Procurement Contract Specialist I plays a vital role in supporting Worley's mission of delivering sustainable change through responsible sourcing, contract administration, and supplier relationship management. This role ensures that goods and services are procured efficiently, ethically, and in alignment with Worley's commitment to sustainability and innovation. By supporting project teams with reliable procurement processes, the Procurement Contract Specialist helps drive operational excellence, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly while contributing to the organization's ambition of becoming a global leader in sustainability solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and administration of contracts related to services, equipment, materials, and products essential for project delivery.
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable contractors and suppliers that align with Worley's sustainability and performance standards.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions that ensure value, compliance, and delivery of services in line with project objectives and customer requirements.
  • Monitor supplier and contractor performance to ensure adherence to agreed deliverables, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure alignment between procurement strategies and project goals.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation to support approvals, compliance reporting, and the timely payment of invoices.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and other customer-facing activities to strengthen partnerships and support project success.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, tools, and systems.
  • Promote Worley's values and sustainability objectives in all procurement and contract management activities.

  • QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in procurement, contracts administration, or related fields within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations to improve procurement performance.
  • Proficiency with procurement and contract management systems, with the ability to quickly learn new digital tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and build strong supplier relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under general supervision while exercising sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of sustainability principles and a commitment to ethical sourcing practices aligned with Worley's global sustainability goals.
  • Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset, with a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic, evolving organization.
