Position Summary/Details: As a co-op student at TECO Energy, you will support financial and business operations at the Big Bend Power Station or within a center of excellence team. Under the guidance of a Senior Analyst and Manager, you will assist in developing annual and multi-year budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Your work will contribute to cost management, operational efficiency, and strategic planning across various business units. You will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as Excel, PowerBI, SAP, and PowerPlan, and collaborate with engineers and analysts on capital projects and operational initiatives. Students will also have the opportunity to develop their AI end-user skills by leveraging Microsoft Copilot to streamline reporting, enhance data analysis, and improve productivity. Physical Location of Co-op:Big Bend Power Station - Administrative Buildings (BB Admin or CM building)
Working Conditions: This position has the unique opportunity to be stationed on Tampa Bay in Apollo Beach at Big Bend Power Station. Mostly in an office environment. This position allows for the opportunity to occasionally and safely tour Power Plants and Solar Sites for a more hands-on experience. Preferred Availability:Part - Time (20-30 hours) QUALIFICATIONS: Education: The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline. Co-Op Requirements: To qualifyas a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
