Job summary:

We're looking for teammates who share our passion for creating equitable access to nutritious food and addressing the root causes and impact of hunger. The Warehouse Utility position is responsible for supporting all job functions of the warehouse to ensure that the daily work is completed in a timely manner. Primary responsibilities include stocking functions such as put away, replenishment, and full pallet picks, supporting distribution for agency pickup orders, supporting the cooler in building mobile food pantry orders, and maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

Other aspects of the job:

This position functions in an office and warehouse environment and requires travel within the warehouse areas. It requires the use of general office equipment such as telephone, computers, calculators, fax and copiers and extensive walking across the warehouse and back and forth to the office. It occasionally requires lifting over 50 pounds and lifting of 20 to 50 pounds approximately 10% of the time. Incumbent will spend 100% of the time in a warehouse environment which could include a cooler and freezer environment.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years in a warehouse, preferably in a food industry setting, digital literacy, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • 2-3 years, certified forklift operator, volunteer work.
  • High school education or equivalent
