Starting pay rates = $28-30/hour, dependent on experience. Could also consider a salaried role for someone with previous experience managing their own scheduling, routing, and meeting with customers to diagnose and make recommendations for turf problems.

We're currently seeking an experienced Fertilizer Technician. This role will work a regular 5 day/week schedule. The main responsibilities include servicing both residential and commercial clients, providing expert advice on lawn care and treatment options, and working collaboratively with team members to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service. Additionally, this person will have the opportunity to learn about and assist company in leading organic mosquito treatments.

Our Fertilizer Technicians will work year-round to:

* Apply fertilizer, weed control, and pesticide applications to both residential and commercial accounts

• Drive company vehicle to and from customer locations
• Operate commercial spreaders/sprayers, push spreaders, and hand sprayers
• Lawn aerations, commercial and residential accounts, ride on and walk behind machine
• Provide knowledgeable feedback and recommendations for lawn care improvements
• Assist lawn maintenance crews as needed
• Perform winter work as needed (including snow shoveling and plowing of lots, walks, entrances, sand/salt applications, snow hauling, etc)

Our Fertilizer Techs must have:

• Valid drivers license with insurable driving record with DOT endorsement REQUIRED
• Valid Category AE and L pesticide applicator licenses, and mosquito license by the state of Minnesota (we are happy to help candidates obtain these)
• Previous Z-Spray experience a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in handling, calibrating, mixing and applying pesticides and fertilizers
• Demonstrated ability to operate machinery, spreaders, spray tanks, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to identify weeds and turf diseases
• Self motivation as a crew of one to complete assigned work for the day
• Strong customer service and communication skills to be a liaison between property/customer needs and manager
• Successful completion of Medical Examiners Certificate required with drivers license
