This role will be responsible for strategic management of consultants and agency relationships to source new Commercial large group business in the state of Wisconsin. Responsible for group sales, retention, end-to-end renewals, and upselling for Commercial accounts. Manage client relationships and customer/broker strategy. Collaborate internally to determine appropriate pricing strategy, advise on product and service improvements and ensure client experience is positive. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 10 years of experience beyond degree with at least 5 years of management responsibility
  • Health plan experience required; commercial markets and/or brokerage experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to set, monitor and implement strategic plans
  • Proven leadership experience, with a strong ability to manage, inspire, and lead people


Skills and Abilities



  • Able to operate in a highly independent and team-oriented environment.
  • Prefer a successful track record of managing customer and distributor relationship of varying sizes, locations, complexities, and sophistication.
  • Strong sales skills and experience.
  • Strong executive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to understand rating formulas, analyze claim risks, and articulate benefit plans and competitor pricing.



This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Madison, WI office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $159,300-$273,000. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $159,300 - $238,875. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
