Wieland is hiring a Bench Leader. The Bench Leader will be responsible for assisting and providing backup to the Bench Department Supervisor. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $25.66/hr.

Schedule: 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM, after completing training 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Bench Leader Responsibilities:

Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies and ensures bench personnel are following all procedures, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Maintains effective communication with employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes.
• Upholds a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.
• Checks samples to ensure product is within specifications. Guides and instructs operators in setups.
• Functions as a relief operator on bottleneck equipment when required by supervisor.
• Assists supervisor in scheduling orders and determining required staffing.
• Monitors cleaning tanks as needed for compliance with established procedures.
• Participates in inventory procedures as needed.
• In coordination with supervisor, directs the work of others in the department.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine's training evaluation form.
• Able to work various overtime as business needs require.

Bench Leader Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent training as approved by Immediate Supervisor, Next Level Supervision, and Human Resources Department.
• Successful completion of "Crane Safety" training program as prescribed by HR/Safety Dept.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP's.
• Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training as prescribed by HR/Safety Dept.
• Vision screening exam as prescribed by HR/Safety Dept.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, stand.
