Shift Timing: 2nd shift: 3:20 p.m. - 11:40 p.m. will train on 1st shift for 90-days or shorter
Job Description:
- Primary Function: Prepare associated paperwork, including nameplates, de-trash, perform associated manual and machining operations, subassembly, final assembly, test and button-up of Pump Motor Package (PMP) units, large designated Skydrol units and other designated high-volume pump families.
- De-trash the kit from the stockroom, perform floor stock maintenance, cycle count floor stock, initiate short requisitions, and over-issue tickets.
- Performing all test-associated tasks: Set-up test stand, set-up product, performing the hydraulic test, and performing electrical testing (Dielectric & insulation resistance). Create QC-203 test records.
- Button-up: Nameplate application, lock wire, painting and masking, mechanical removing of cosmetic defects and lodining.
Role & Responsibilities
OEM Mechanic:
- Assures compliance with OEM assembly instructions, blueprints, test procedures and/or process requirements with minimal supervision.
- Performs all test-associated tasks: set-up of test stand, set-up of product, and performing the hydraulic and electrical testing (hydraulic, electric, and hydroelectric products
- Must be able to perform the work with minimal supervision.
- 11.Production output shall meet or exceed established standards and shall conform to prescribed quality.
Aftermarket Mechanic:
- The Aftermarket Pump Mechanic must comply with Parker HSD test specifications, customer test requirements and request changes through Quality Assurance and Engineering disciplines. Sets-up and operates all types of units.
- Cleans, disassembles, evaluates, assembles, tests, troubleshoots, certify, and button-up Aftermarket components and complex subassemblies, as required by Repair Orders and in accordance with technical orders, manuals, prints and/or processes. Works from test specifications, blueprints, or special directives from Engineering. Makes complete set-ups using test specifications or blueprints as a guide.
System Mechanic:
- Assembles, disassembles, and tests both new OEM and Aftermarket units. Additionally, assists in configuration control, assures compliance with new OEM assembly instructions, overhaul manuals, military technical orders, and blueprints and/or process requirements with minimum supervision.
- Prepares for assembly or disassembly of OEM and Aftermarket units, or complex subassemblies by unwrapping and inspecting components for cleanliness and/or damage.
- Assembles, tests, disassembles, cleans, repairs and overhauls production and Aftermarket components, complex subassemblies of units in conformance with established process sheets, specifications, or blueprints in the absence of process sheets. Troubleshoots and repairs defective units, pinpointing trouble spots.
