Additional Compensation Details:
- $25.00 - $ 29.00+ per hour
- Potential 90-day performance-based raise
- Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure
Job Description
Job Summary: This role supports senior accountants and contributes to accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to continuous learning. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (any combination of the following job duties):
- Process invoices and perform accurate data entry for financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare journal entries and assist in the development of financial statements.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and reconciling invoice statements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal financial policies.
- Provide audit support and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations related to crop production, inventory, and equipment management.
- All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager, supervisor, or key personnel if they witness any compromise to food safety or food quality
Qualifications
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in the agriculture industry is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
- Experience with accounting software and integration with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge & Abilities:
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and core math skills.

- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret financial information.
- Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication with internal teams and external vendors.
