The Baker Assistant at the Statler Hotel works closely with the pastry team to complete daily and weekly prep and production, ensuring a variety of baked goods are prepared to high standards. This role includes preparing breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, and pastries while assisting in creating personalized cakes using advanced decoration techniques. The assistant sets up their workstation, monitors food temperatures, and records them according to requirements. Additionally, they provide coaching and training to student employees and collaborate with the front of house to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Maintaining a positive attitude, cleaning work areas, and efficiently closing shifts are essential aspects of this position.
