Job Summary: Performs Distribution System Planning functions to include the following: CYME system model creation/management used to evaluate existing and future conditions of the 12.47kV distribution system. System analysis for load additions, fault current requests, phase balancing, and volt/VAR support will use the CYME software package for base/study case modeling. This position works closely with other internal groups, Field & System Operations, (switching studies), System Protection, and Distribution Design. Responsible for DER interconnections including all supporting documentation and assistance in IURC reporting. Responsible for Distribution Automation (DA) layouts including circuit one-line drawings, field device alarm limits, and DA modeling. Responsible for Distribution Planning methodology creation and future updates/maintenance (alarm limits, DA, etc.). Responsible for Long Range planning activities including load forecasting, capacity planning, and hosting capacity for EVs and DER. Other responsibilities include asset management of key distribution circuit devices, CVR analysis, and standards documentation support. Future support research around EVs, battery storage, and FERC 2222 will also apply to this role. This position will be required to participate in an after-hours emergency response support and possible on-call rotation for storm support. Essential Functions:
