About the Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced Gage Calibration Technician Candidate. You will have the opportunity to work with an experience and highly motivated team. The role will be processed based and will have a focus testing and calibrating company owned instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards.

Location: Stuart, Florida - 1st Shift Monday to Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration and verification of precision measuring instruments and gages used in aerospace manufacturing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures and standards in accordance with AS9100, ISO 17025, and OEM specifications.
  • Plan and execute calibration sequences using engineering drawings, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Set up and operate laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, calibrate, and troubleshoot various mechanical, dimensional, and electronic measuring tools.
  • Assist quality and engineering teams in diagnosing measurement-related issues and support continuous improvement of calibration processes.
  • Coordinate external calibration and repair services and manage the scheduling and tracking of gages requiring offsite or onsite service.
  • Accurately document calibration results, maintain traceability records, and generate detailed reports for internal audits and management review.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring calibration records and equipment are audit-ready at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a calibration technician, in quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools and a strong understanding of hand gages commonly used in aerospace manufacturing (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic math and computer skills (Windows).
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Experience using Gagetrak and troubleshooting/repairing gages.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with strong problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
