Overview:

  • The Associate Director of Prospect Research plays a critical role in advancing the organization's fundraising goals by providing strategic insight, data analysis, and research support across all philanthropic initiatives. This position partners closely with the Director of Prospect Research and other fundraising teams to identify, evaluate, and manage donor and prospect relationships, ensuring a data-informed approach to engagement and stewardship.

  • Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Job Description Summary:

May coordinate events, fundraising campaigns, volunteer groups and programs, manage relationships, and oversee fundraising databases and reporting. Will require occasional evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with donors and sponsors.
  • Prepares reports on foundation activities and outcomes.
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Ensures compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, required.

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable with people of all ages and backgrounds. Must be equally comfortable with public speaking and one-on-one communication.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, devotion to hospital mission and on-going personal education and development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to be a team player and display diplomacy/political savvy.
  • Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information and make ethical decisions.

Experience:

One year of fund-raising, sales or relevant experience, preferred.
