Soft Services Manager - JLL

What this job involves

We are looking for a strong team player with the ability to grasp new ideas and change direction quickly in a fast-paced environment. This client-facing role provides the opportunity to combine your passion for service, brilliant people skills, and enthusiasm for creating a hospitality culture in the workplace. The Soft Services Manager is a leader responsible for governing, overseeing, and supporting services such as Janitorial, Food Services, Pest Control, Waste Management, Landscaping, Audio/Visual and Conference Room Solutions. This role will partner with vendors in support of services to meet strategic business objectives and key performance indicators.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Interact with Site Leadership team, Client, Vendors, Operational, and Support staff in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple demands and priorities
  • Oversee Soft Services and related vendor partner relationships by providing a seamless interface with site employer leadership and client through organization, leadership, responsiveness, and creativity
  • Lead with a Hospitality Mindset to ensure a seamless and consistent level of service is provided, enhancing the colleague experience from pre-arrival to departure through personalized responses to day-to-day requests
  • Lead, develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce costs, increase efficiency, productivity or quality and/or reduce risk
  • Ensure vendor management routines and Service Level Agreements are met and work is completed, while managing and tracking work through work order systems
  • Develop and execute appropriate reporting routines to support site and Client goals, assist in site Compliance/Operations audits, and comply with all state and local regulations
  • Oversee the operation, staffing, performance, and development of service delivery staff and vendors, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development planning
  • Manage and coordinate services, reporting, audits, cost savings, small projects, centralized initiatives, and provide flexibility to assume new projects as needed
  • Coordinate and manage performance of Services after normal business hours and during weekends as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years prior experience in Facilities Services, Facilities Management, Property Management, or Janitorial/Housekeeping Management
  • Previous people and vendor management experience
  • Proven track record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities
  • High degree of innovation and independence with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, effectively manage through stressful situations, and consistently make effective, high-quality decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Janitorial/Housekeeping Management Experience
  • Experience working in Manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Participation in Employee training programs to improve skill levels and competencies

Location: Onsite

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 730a-330p

Compensation: 72,000-85,000 + 10% target bonus (based on experience)
