UCF HR - Talent Acquisition Unit:

In the Talent Acquisition Center, our mission is to strategically partner with UCF departments and hiring managers to identify and recruit exceptional individuals who align with the university's values, vision, and goals. The Opportunity:

Responsible for providing best-in-class recruitment services to support the programs and initiatives of the university. Partners and collaborates with hiring managers and leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies for staff positions. Oversees development of viable recruiting strategies, management of requisitions, sourcing and attracting candidates, and facilitation of the hiring process in conjunction with the HR Business Center for the unit. Under general direction, the Senior Recruiter operates as a team supervisor, who manages the recruiting process for several HR business centers, with the oversight of a small team. The role may also carry the responsibility for leading executive, strategic, or highly specialized niche searches.

Responsibilities:


  • Identify, source, and attract top talent utilizing creative sourcing techniques for both active and passive candidates.

  • Partner and collaborate with hiring managers and staff search committees to identify needs and provide expertise on applicable recruiting strategies, share insights on the current talent market, serve as a liaison between the hiring manager and candidates, and streamline the recruitment process.

  • Develop recruitment plans, goals, and objectives, in partnership with hiring managers and the college or division HR Business Center.

  • Determine the appropriate screening strategy based on the competencies identified in the recruitment plan.

  • Report on staffing goals, open requisitions, and position activity to both Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition leadership, effectively communicating and meeting hiring goals and performance metrics.

  • Research recruiting trends for attracting talent and leverage data to build and expand metrics that measure the effectiveness and ROI of associated programs.

  • Establish marketing and branding campaigns that support strategic initiatives and highlight our values.

  • Provide hiring managers consultation with recruitment best practices, enhancing candidate experience, effective interviewing techniques, and strategies for optimizing the hiring process.

  • The Senior Recruiter supervises a small team of Recruiters and Talent Coordinators under the supervision of the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience. or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Recruitment experience in higher education or a complex organization.

  • Previous experience supervising junior level Recruiters and/or Talent Coordinators.

  • Experience consulting with hiring managers on recruitment best practices and strategies for a wide range of positions, tailoring approaches to meet departmental needs.

  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools, with a proven ability to source passive candidates, build talent pipelines, and leverage new recruitment technologies and processes.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across various stakeholders.

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred) and recruitment analytics.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

  • Previous experience recruiting for Facilities Operations and Information Technology is a plus.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,809- $85,285. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
