About the RoleThe SAP Buyer II (Contract) oversees sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management processes using SAP systems. The role ensures procurement strategies align with Aerospace and Defense regulations while optimizing cost and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate procurement activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier negotiations, via SAP MM module.
  • Identify and vet suppliers in compliance with government regulations (e.g., ITAR, FAR).
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues.
  • Develop cost-saving strategies while ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support program requirements and schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Typically 2+ years of related experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of sourcing and procurement strategies.
  • Supplier management and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
  • Deeper awareness of market trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Outlook, and ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP.
  • Ability to interact with leadership, suppliers, and external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between functional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in SAP MM module and procurement workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g., ITAR, FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience in aerospace or a related industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Certifications: supply chain certification.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in driving procurement initiatives.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of procurement and supply chain management.

Pay Range:

$31.95-$47.93/hour

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education,experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
