SCOPE/CONTACTS:

The individual in this position will work closely with the Appraisal Services Officer to manage the residential appraisal process. The employee will interact with account servicing officers, support staff, and appraisal vendors to ensure the development and receipt of reliable residential appraisals. Employee would be eligible to pursue licensure as a State Certified Appraiser.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receiving appraisal requests from account officers or support staff
  • Selecting the appropriate appraiser for the assignment and forwarding the appraisal engagement to the appraiser
  • Monitoring the performance of the appraiser to ensure timely completion of the assignment
  • Reviewing completed appraisal reports to evaluate their reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Forwarding completed appraisal reports and reviews to the lending officer
  • Maintaining a database of property information to support the production of reliable internal property evaluations
  • Completing other special projects related to the real estate appraisal function
  • Actively participate in the Customer Service First sales and service culture, support the values of the organization and follow established Bank policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Seeking candidates with a minimum of one year experience in a Real Estate, Loan Operations or Banking.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and written/verbal communication skills are required;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is also necessary.
  • A college degree in Finance or General Business is preferred.
  • In addition, incisive qualitative and quantitative analytical ability and familiarity of the residential lending process are essential.
