Description
Key Responsibilities * Daily calibration of shop gages (micrometers, calipers, pin gages, thread gages, swing gages, etc.) * Set up and/ or calibrate Milling Kits / Turning gages to meet manufacturing demand * Inspect designed gages to blueprint requirements * Fixture Inspection when needed * Coordinate outside service calibrations and maintain certification documents * Dimensional and Final inspection of cases * In-process floor inspections * Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager * Ensures adherence to applicable Barnes Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations Job Requirements * A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required and 2+ years performing aerospace inspections * Knowledge and experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, etc * Knowledge and experience with CNC Machinery or related equipment * An understanding of Operation Sheets/ Blueprints * Ability to use software programs to produce gage calibration report * Team player with the skills to work with people at all levels in a fast paced and demanding environment * Experience in managing deadlines and challenges * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently * Ability to read and interpret processes, procedures, and governmental regulations, write reports, effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and compliance agencies * Ability to use technology effectively and efficiently to manage workload * Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and ability to create documents, reports and briefing materials in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint Equal Opportunity Employer
