This position will be hybrid in our American Fork, UT office 2-3 days per week.
Job Summary This role is responsible for guiding and motivating development teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment across multiple groups. The Sr Software Project Manager drives high performance and quality by enabling teams to deliver complex, high-value solutions. The position typically supports several concurrent, high-visibility initiatives in a fast-paced environment, helping teams stay focused, empowered, and aligned with business priorities.
What You Will Do
- Define and manage project scope, schedule, dependencies, and resources to ensure timely delivery of milestones
- Assign, track, and follow up on tasks, holding team members accountable across complex projects
- Lead project ceremonies and status meetings, providing clear, consistent updates to stakeholders
- Identify and resolve obstacles by adjusting plans, mitigating risks, and addressing issues proactively
- Drive delivery planning and execution by coordinating resources across multiple teams to maximize efficiency
- Support sponsors with stakeholder communications, expectation management, and governance processes
- Establish and refine project management processes, communication channels, and continuous improvement practices
- Foster team empowerment, engagement, and sustainable pace while maintaining high quality standards
- Facilitate conflict resolution and collaboration by leveraging organizational resources
- Mentor junior project managers and share best practices through coaching and clear communication
- Participate in all necessary meetings to ensure seamless project delivery
Travel/Physical Demands
- Travel typically less than 10%
- Office environment with no special physical demands required
Qualifications
What You Will Have
- 6 - 8 years of engineering experience in project or program management
- Excellent planning, organization, analysis, and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and ability to blend them effectively
- Expertise in managing large, complex, multi-functional projects in enterprise environments
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT practices
- Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills, with ability to deliver difficult messages professionally and empathetically
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor colleagues, and act as a resource for others
- Adept at risk and issue evaluation with strong technical and business acumen
- Capable of working independently with minimal guidance, balancing multiple priorities within budget constraints
- Commitment to continuous learning and keeping skills current with evolving industry demands
- Proactive, curious, and self-motivated; empathetic, authentic, and resilient
