DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Therapeutic Activities Worker, you will be a vital part of providing comprehensive treatment and recovery plans for consumers. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating therapeutic activities for consumers, which can include vocational training, therapeutic recreation, and occupational therapy. These activities are specifically designed to meet the individual treatment goals and objectives of each consumer as part of their overall treatment plan. In addition to conducting programs in various treatment areas such as the greenhouse, music room, and theater, you will also complete individual assessments and necessary documentation within a specified time frame and in accordance with policies and regulations. Furthermore, you will collaborate with other health care professionals by attending and actively participating in treatment team meetings and other multidisciplinary clinical meetings. These meetings will allow you to provide updates on consumers' progress toward treatment objectives and make recommendations for specific therapeutic activities. The collaboration will ensure that the best possible care is provided for each consumer.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday - Friday and every other weekend, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
