Position Summary

This role will lead the implementation and lifecycle support for IT applications at Deriva Energy. Immediate project management needs include the integration of an ETRM platform integrated with NetSuite ERP, supporting trading, settlements, accounting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, experienced in ServiceNow-based change management, and well-versed in energy trading operations across ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, MISO, and SPP. You will be the primary liaison between IT and commercial stakeholders including Power Traders, Settlement Analysts, Risk and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

ETRM & ERP Systems Integration

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of ETRM systems (e.g., OATI, Hitachi, PowerOptix) with NetSuite ERP

  • Build and maintain trade-to-cash workflows including trade capture, market scheduling, settlements, GL entries, and financial close processes

  • Oversee data integrity and automation between commercial systems and financial reporting modules

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Act as a trusted partner to Power Trading, Settlements, Accounting, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams

  • Translate commercial and operational needs into scalable technical solutions, with emphasis on transparency, auditability, and performance

Reporting & Financial Operations

  • Deliver operational and financial reporting solutions for P&L, ISO settlements, trading positions, and revenue recognition

  • Integrate ETRM/ERP data into BI platforms (e.g., Power BI) and support monthly financial close processes

ISO Market Integration

  • Manage data flows and API integrations with ISO/RTO platforms including ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, MISO, and SPP

  • Ensure automated bid/offer submissions, telemetry data, dispatch monitoring, and settlement data acquisition

Project & Change Management

  • Lead full project lifecycle activities including planning, scope, stakeholder engagement, implementation, testing, and go-live support

  • Utilize ServiceNow to manage IT change requests, approvals, documentation, and audit compliance

  • Drive adoption of formal change management best practices to support SOX compliance, traceability, and business continuity

  • Maintain budget and contract records for all projects

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain IT controls that align with SOX requirements, internal audit policies, and ISO/market compliance obligations

  • Document change controls, system architecture, test plans, and SOPs to ensure regulatory readiness

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field

  • Five (5) or more years of IT/business systems experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field

  • Seven (7) or more years of IT/business systems experience

  • Proven experience working with power trading and ISO markets

  • Experience integrating ETRM with NetSuite ERP or equivalent

  • PMP, Agile, or ITIL certification

  • ETRM systems (OATI, PCI, Molecule, PowerOptix)

  • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platform, specifically for change and incident management

  • Familiarity with forecasting platforms, SCADA/telemetry data systems

  • Experience leading vendor RFPs or managing third-party system integrators

  • Strong working knowledge of: ISO market workflows (bidding, dispatch, settlements), Financial close and reporting processes, SOX, NERC CIP, and audit-readiness principles

  • Hands-on experience with BI/reporting platforms like Power BI or Tableau

Working Conditions
