Work closely and cooperatively with Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager and/or Project Engineer to ensure project goals are met. 2. Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of assigned crew, including JHA / PTWP review. 3. Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs. 4. Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and ensure compliance with all Christman policies, procedures, and any applicable laws. 5. Identify safety hazards to self or others, and takes all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards. 6. Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures. 7. Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities. 8. Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs. 9. Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans. 10. Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies. 11. Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment. 12. Confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities. 13. Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery. 14. Address employee questions / comments, and provide input to superiors regarding employee performance. 15. Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment. 16. Attend assigned meetings in person or virtually. 17. Complete required reporting and records information, such as personnel, production, or operational data where required. 18. Complete all required and assigned training for this role. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires wearing protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats, safety glasses, high visibility vests). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and able to talk and hear talking. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. Expected Hours of Work Full-time position, occasional extended hours or weekends may apply. Travel Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel up to a 300-mile radius dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives.
Required Education and Experience 1. Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience or proven established work history for the position. 2. Two (2) or more years of experience in a supervisory role, including previous experience in Foreman roles. Preferred Education and Experience 1. Proven experience as a construction Foreman. 2. High school diploma or GED. Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1. Must have handbags and all necessary hand tools. 2. Able to perform rough and finish carpentry and general trades work. 3. Experience in concrete construction including formwork erection, rebar installation and concrete place and finish activities. 4. Experience in setting case and millwork. 5. Experience in architectural doors and hardware (commercial). 6. Able to maintain open communication and confidentiality. 7. Attention to detail. 8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. 9.
