Job Description:

The Microchip Global Sales Support Group has team members located throughout the world. As a Global Sales Support Representative, you will be joining a team of Representatives that will collaborate with Microchip's Sales Teams, Operations, Supply Management, Logistics, Quality, Legal, Finance and our Product Business Units. This Collaborative Team Environment is focused on ensuring our clients and channel partners receive thevery bestCustomer Service WW. Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to support key accounts in the Aerospace and Defense industry with focus in the areas of client order management and supply chain. This position is detail oriented and requires strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems.

Key job responsibilities/duties include:

  • Evaluate customer purchase order contract provisions with Quality, Supply Management, Business Units and Legal to ensure compliance with AS9100.
  • Manage client open orders to minimize supply chain shortages.
  • Monitoring backlog, proactively expediting orders with planning and operations.
  • Collaborating with our global Inside Sales team to efficiently manage and support key client escalations, including hosting and attending customer calls, providing timely updates, and recovery options.
  • Process RMAs, Quality recalls, and non-standard requests from clients.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to establish relationships with key Aerospace and Defense clients.
  • Compile and maintain required records and documents in accordance with company policy or contractual requirements.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Knowledge/experience preferred:

  • Familiarity with technical and manufactured products in accordance with MIL-PRF 38535, MIL STD 883, and other Government quality standards and documentation.
  • Experienced with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) processes
  • Understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including International Traffic and Arms regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS clauses, subcontract flow-downs requirements, and compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) and other government regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Experience in supply chain management, particularly with U.S. prime contractors or government agencies, is highly desirable.
  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills.
